I'm from South Africa and have been teaching myself how to do Shibori from books. I am besotted with Arashi Shibori and recently aquired the Shibori book by Karren Brito. I have experimented and come up with a few pices of silk that I'm very happy with and would like to sew them into clothes. I sew most of my own clothes. I have seen the collars, star scarves, ribbon shawls and feather-pleated boas that Karren Brito makes and would like to try and make them for my outfits. I have no idea how to do this. Does anyone know about this? Would I have to try to make a paper pattern for these or does she fold her fabric in a special way. Any directions or instructions would be most appreciated. Thank you.

Tracy, In general we are probably not the best audience to be able to answer your questions. However, have a look at message http://amazingforums.com/forum/TRIBALTEXT/18.html and perhaps email Delia who might be able to point you in the right direction. Good luck!  Pamela
