Padaung woman at the doorway to her house down the Pai river from  Mae Hong Son, Thailand very close to the border with Kayah State, Myanmar from where she probably originated.  Note the brass neck rings and white metal arm bangles.  Her blouse is traditional Karen of which the Padaung are a sub-group.  The basket would be carried on her back with the loose hanging strap held taught against her forehead.
