Turkmen ikat

...

 

The ikat is a modern textile from Uzbekistan using traditional techniques. It has a silk, ikat-dyed warp with a natural cotton weft. The suzani cushion is also modern from Uzbekistan. Both ikat fabric and suzani cushion are available from the Turkmen Gallery
