I agree with you about the fuksine color, but i was not sure if this is fuksine or maybe a Chinese color because the the back and face colors are the same on the fuksine color on this blanket. as far as the light blue, many parts of this color has been re woven so it has a fresher look. You have a great observation and understanding of colors and age, i appreciate your comments.

Thank you for putting me on the right track. The design of Effi's piece sure does resemble those of Tujia blankets.

And thank you, Effi, for troubling to post the detail photos. I asked for them, but I'm sure others can find them more useful.

If western synthetic dyes are involved, as Susan suggests, the light blue might be Prussian Blue.

All very interesting.
