I just found this marvelous site that, tho not about tribal textiles specifically, touches on the history of textiles and one can see the influences of tribal textiles, plus just indulge in the wonderful range of textile art from all over the world at all times. http://thetextileblog.blogspot.com/. It's full of great links to other textile-related sites and can be addictive, so give yourself some time to wander.

Hi Susan:

I just clicked your link - and it opened to the work of a very well known painter - and now apparently textile artist - who I went to college with more years ago than I care to admit!

Things like this have been happening to me with disconcerting frequency over the last year - thanks for sending me off to that site.
