Hi everyone. I'm bringing an exhibition of Central Asian ikats to the Art Gallery of New South Wales, so if you're in Sydney, do drop in!

Adline

I think that the post above about the (phantom) exhibit is a spammer. We have been getting several recently who just want their website to show up - and they are internet hosting websites. I deleted such a person this morning having checked out one of the posts but didn't realise that they had posted on another (this) thread. Now the poster just shows up as Anonymous and with no profile details. I will leave the post for now or else your and my messages will make no sense! Clearly a not an electronic spammer as the style of these spammers is to post a message somewhat related to the topic of the thread on which they post.

A message to such spammers - we will delete the posts and the membership. Susan Stem has been active in deleting such posts and, as she is in Thailand and I am in the UK we have quite a stretch of 'awake' hours between us to keep watch!

So, Hi Adline! Hope you are well and wish it had been a nice constructive post!

All the best,

No worries Pamela, I suspected the same thing. Pretty sure that I would have hear about it from the museum if it was happening :) I am going to Sydney on Monday to bring the exhibition home, so I hope anyone in Sydney who hasn't seen it will go catch it before we wrap things up. Thanks again Pamela, and you're doing such an amazing job managing this forum!
