I have been approached by a couple of forum members who are wanting to re-focus or weed out their collections. They are wondering whether it would be possible to use the forum as a way of giving other forum members the chance to see if they would like to give some of these textiles a good home.

None of us want to spoil the atmosphere of the forum of sharing knowlege and the joy of seeing textiles. However, this could be an opportunity that forum members would welcome. I will confess to having some idea of just this possibility when I first proposed the 'tribal textile shopping' thread - to give the option but to keep it away from the main forum. Let's see how it goes!

I suppose I had better say that any transactions are strictly between individual members. I and the forum take no responsibility for the veracity of statements made about the any textiles offered for sale and take no responsibility for any payments. Transactions are at the risk of each individual forum member.

Many thanks to Pamela for offering us the opportunity to sell some pieces. In fact, I would like to re-focus out a part of my collection. For that I have took the decision (so difficult!....) to sell a bark cloth from Sulawesi island, a male Miao jacket from the Wumeng mountains area (zhatong style Cf: similar item page141 of "Clothings and ornaments of China's Miao People"), others Miao jackets (a White collared Miao jacket-Danzhai county), a Pua from Borneo. I join a picture of the Sulawesi bark jacket which is not painted but made with natural bark. If somebody were interested by these pieces, I can of course send some good pictures and close-up.

Pamela,
I would be very interested in possibly acquiring SE Asian, Indonesia and Chinese minority textiles from other members.

Hello friends,
We have several dozen fine Indonesian textiles, icluding many puas, that we would be interested in selling as a group; this would be an opportunity for a new dealer to strengthen their portfolio of pieces. See highlights at http://indokain.com/springsale/ and http://indokain.com/springsale-borneo/
Contact me directly at admin@indokain.com
