Dear Meanz

To email me all you have to do is to click the email button on any of my posts including this one.

One of the most usual reasons for failure to be able to post an image is that the image itself is too large. There is a maximum 500k file size for any image.

I ask that images should not be larger than around 60K for for image and it should not be wider that 600 pixels.

so, to load an image you:
    1. prepare your image for the web so that it is around 60K in size and no wider than 600 px
    2. in the posting window browse your computer to find the file
    then press the attach button
    3. you should see that the image is loaded when it appears in blue as a file in the window below
    4. if you use the preview window you should also be able to see your message and the photo

good luck!

I received today the two photos of more complete textiles shown below from Meanz Saja together the following text in the email:
Quote:
I have some antique textile (Mbesa) for sale (picture attached), if you was interest, please answer as soon as posibble, thank you very much for the great attention
.
I am posting both of the photos plus a of detail from each. The inability to post the photos was clearly the file size as both were large photos of 760K-766K in size.

The textiles looked to me to originate from Indonesia. I had not heard of the term 'Mbesa' before. An initial search on the web found an example in the National Gallery of Australia under Indonesian Textiles:
Quote:
Ceremonial cloth and sacred heirloom [mbesa].
A quick trawl of some of my Indonesian textile references has not provided me with any further information.

It would helpful if Meanz could give us some information on 'Mbesa'.

If anyone is interested in either of the textiles please contact Meanz directly either by email or private message (click either of the buttons on the first post from Meanz). I know no more about Meanz than you have seen in these posts.

best wishes,
