Hi all,
I'm looking for a USABLE hmong or miao-style carrier to carry my daughter in. I'm concerned with buying one on Ebay as many are strictly decorative and wouldn't be safe for daily use. Can anyone help me with finding a source for these?
Thank you!
Melissa

You might want to try contacting some of the galleries listed on the http://www.tribaltextiles.info/links.html#galleries page. Some of the owners of these galleries are also members of this forum - but are probably too polite to post here! As the risk of upsetting those who I do not refer to, you might try susan stem at www.tribaltrappings.com Have a look at what she has on her web gallery or contact her direct. You might also try some of the shops/galleries on the Thailand shopping page: http://www.tribaltextiles.info/Countrie ... _shops.htm

Older carriers often need new straps to be securely fixed to them - as this is the part which suffers the greatest wear and tear and may be changed several times in the life of a favourite carrier.

Best wishes,
