Hello all,
hopefully it is also allowed to not offer but ASK for certain textiles for sale?! As I am (still) an avid collector of (all tribal items from) North -Philippines from the so-called "igorot" tribes. This term includes tribes as Ifugao, Bontoc, Kalinga, Tinguian etc.
>> I am looking for all good old textiles from these tribes and may be dirty and have slight (usage) damage.
Not many collect from the Philippines I have noticed and as I am myself also sometimes weeding out my collection to rake enough money to be able to buy that new found piece! For good pieces I would (as a collector) give good/honest prices. Actually I would possibly be interested in not only textiles but other tribal items also.

Also; I am currently busy with whats gonna be a jewel of a book about Tribal Art and the North-Philippines in which many unique textiles from my collection are displayed. So that would hopefully add something to the already so very limited supply (isnt it?!) of textile books.

Thank you for your interest, Wouter K.

Hi Wooter

Yes, it is certainly 'allowed' to ask for certain items - and I wish you luck in your search!

Please keep us informed of the progress on your book especially as publication nears so that information can appear in the 'Books' section of the forum. As you must be well aware, relevant books are very much the 'engine' of the forum!

All the very best with your endeavours,

Thank you Pamela. I am pursueing to publish the book next year. I have added a picture below of just one of the many (too many almost) nice photos. Will keep you and all updated about it.

Hopefully some members have something interesting. Even just LOOKING at good old items -as is such a great goal of these kind of forum- can be such a help.

Best, Wouter
