Cheesman's book has just been reissued by by the University of Hawaii Press. I just heard from John Dalley (a great contact for books on Laos and SE Asia among other things) at www.dalleybookservice.com that he has a new copy.

Well, actually it hasn't been "reissued", but is now available thru the University of Hawaii Press, as well as thru Studio Naenna/Patricia Cheesman. For US buyers, this will probably result in a reduction in postage as previous editions had to come from Thailand. Here's the link: http://www.uhpress.hawaii.edu/cart/shopcore/?PHPSESSID=772536b9fcd978bb534682501fc49b6f&page=shop%2Fbrowse&db_name=uhpress&search_type=Specific+Search&sfield=product_name&subject_keyword=lao-tai+textiles.

It's also available on Amazon for about 35% less ($41). Seems she's finally reaching a broader audience with this excellent and interesting book that is appropriate for anyone interested in cultural aspects of textile arts.

It's even available on amazon.co.uk and for £34.82. Several other sellers are listed.

I am so very pleased to see that the book is now more widely available as I think it is such excellent and I have been disappointed until now that it seemed to sink out of sight after publication.

For more information on the book see this thread http://www.tribaltextiles.info/communit ... .php?t=213
