This is an advance warning that the http://www.tribaltextiles.info/community forum will be going off-line on Wednesday 5 June 2013 for a major upgrade and maintenance.

The forum will be going off-line all day on Wed 5 June. We hope to get everything up and running smoothly by the end of the day (UK time). Hopefully, after the upgrade, Digests will start to be delivered directly again and we can also have more control over the terrible Spambots which have been incessantly hitting the forum. At the moment very stringent membership joining controls have been put in place to try and stop the avalanche.

So, if you don't find us on 5th (or even 6th) June please do not worry - the forum will be back!

Well, the forum is back!

However, as you will discover the format has changed quite a bit and will take some getting used to!

Forum language
If you previously had the forum set so that it was in a different language you will need to go into 'The User Control Panel' (see button/text top right of screen) and then 'Board Preferences' and select 'My Language'.

Digests
At the moment these are not working and we need to wait for an absent forum angel currently on holiday in Spain to come back and activate them.

I am going to be working my way through the changes, both General and Admin, to test how the updated forum works. Please let me know if you have any problems and I will see what I can do to help!

Hoorah!!!

The forum digests ARE working!

However, you need to set them up to run regardless of whether you had them running under the previous version of the forum.

To get them to work you MUST go into the 'User Control Panel' - last button, top right of screen - and then into 'Digests - see last item in set of Options down the left of the screen. There are four pages of Digest options to go through to set them up:

Digests
» Basics
» Forums Selection
» Post Filters
» Additional Criteria

Don't worry, you can leave as the default setting - apart from in the Basics screen to select a Digest to run - and easily go in again to amend or reset.
