We have recently posted a new exhibition of Lao-Tai textiles which includes some fine examples of late 19th/early 20thc. shoulderwraps called 'phaa tuum', as well as other items. Some have already sold, but we will be adding more over time; inquiries are welcome. http://www.tribaltrappings.com/TAL_1.html

This particular one features 'phi nyak', the giant spirit that is an important protective figure. It comprises two panels sewn together lengthwise, and is zone-dyed on the ends, forming the red border on one end with silk supplementary weft designs.
