I am glad to inform you about a huge exhibition in Belgium - I think the first one ever held in Belgium on this subject - about Miao clothings and baby carriers - in the city of Liège . This exhibition is one of 50 exhibtions about China held all over the country in the context of Europalia China.
The exhibition is called Miao de la tête aux pieds wich means Miao from head to feet. Period 7 november 2009 till 14 february 2010 (closing day : tuesday, and fesitivity days) in the Museum called : Le Grand Curtius
A lot of my collection of Miao baby carriers are on display
In a few weeks my website about baby carriers will be launched : - please check from time to time

Thank you very much indeed for sharing this information with us about the exhibition. I have moved the post from 'Books' as I think it is more appropriate here.

I have found the website of Le Grand Curtis (very interesting) ... anguage=en and info on the 'head to feet' exhibit - with photos!!! ... tion-belge All looks very excellent!

Website for Europhalia including info on the huge number of exhibitions across Belgium.

We look forward to seeing your own website when it goes live. If you have a moment to remind us quickly when it does go live that would be great! All the very best with it and thanks again for sharing this information.

Two weeks ago I had the opportunity to visit the exhibition
‘Miao de la tête aux pieds. ‘ in Liège. Not only the building “Le grand Curtius.” is worth a visit, but also the exhibition is a pleasure for the eye.
In several rooms of the building a lot of Miao clothing out of several collections from Belgium and Holland was gathered. I loved the way the embroidery techniques were explained. The only thing that needed some attention was the light, sometimes your own shadow made it impossible to have a good look at the pieces. I have made some pictures which I like to share with the members of the forum.
In January I want to visit Liège again to have a look at the picture exhibition “Miroirs de Chine.” from André Delvaux.
