Udo,

Many thanks for the link to this article in The Star on-line (as a frequent traveller to KL over several years this quite conjoured up the atmosphere of the local press looking at the most viewed headlines for which I thank you.)

Unfortunately the exhibition which is the topic of the article only runs until 30 October. I will, however, put a copy on the Exhibitions forum so that it might just be possible for someone to find it in time.

For us textile obsessives who are attracted to the textiles of southeast Asia for many reasons, not least of which is their 'artistic' merit, a quote from the artist and textile collector Yeoh Jin Leng in The Star article must touch a chord:

Quote:
It is with pride and joy that I share my collection of ceremonial textiles of this region to show what I consider is the most important art form of Asia and South-East Asia.
The bold is my addition, not Mr Yeoh's.

Thanks for sharing this 'find' with us, Udo.

Hi Pamela! It's been a while! Sorry, been so busy with studies. Mr Yeoh's a noted painter here in Malaysia & yet another textile exhibition in KL is most welcome.
