Concerning "Mru hill people on the border of Bangladesh" I remember seeing an English Language copy being offered on the ABE books website.
The photos are similar to those of the Mru in the Chittagong hill tracts book published by White Lotus you mention above. Many of the photos show textiles being worn eg the women's skirts. It also contains an extensive text and a useful section showing the Mru's relationship and proximity to other tribes of the region. (always useful in textile studies)

Siriol

The only one recently on Abe was a link to a German seller and I checked with them and it was definitely the German language version.

The copy I saw (and I think it is still advertised on ABE) is with Schooner Books in Canada and the title comes up in English
Good Luck!

Siriol - you are most certainly the book wizard! You were right - one copy in English amongst several in German. I now have a confirmation of my order from Schooner in Canada. I just don't seem to master Abe! Thanks

Well, I have received the English language version of "Mru hill people on the border of Bangladesh" and feel that it is most certainly a valuable addition to my library. Beautiful photos and informative text which informs and enhances.

It includes some detailed information on the wearing and weaving of the women's skirts - and I will be updating the text with my photo of a Mru skirt in my collection on the main website when I get a few moments to add the new information. How very excellent to be able to understand better a textile in my collection by the addition of this (very detailed) book to my library!

Thanks to Digna (and Neil) for the information on the book and Siriol for your assistance in hunting down a copy!
